The year 1986 was a very important one in the history of Sweekaar Academy of Rehabilitation Sciences for it witnessed the establishment Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Centre. Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Centre, Child Development Centre and Special School for the Deaf were imitated in the same year.

Lack of such services made the founder chairman of SARS to initiate the need-based Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services with all equipment and materials to provide quality services to the needy.

This unit treats patients of all ages suffering from physical disabilities

This unit has qualified 5 staff and all modern equipment for electrotherapy, exercise therapy and occupational therapy as mentioned above.In addition, the unit serves as an internship training center for BPT and MPT students from various colleges.
