Sweekaar has started School for the dear in the year 1986. Initially, we had 5 children, but today we have 511 students (day scholars and hostelers) and 67 teachers in our premises. The special school for deaf children has classes from pre-primary to intermediate (10+2) in both Telugu and English mediums. Our school for deaf children is being run with the Grant-in –aid from the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India. it has achieved 100% results for the academic year 2011-2012.
At our special school for deaf children, students get fully equipped hearing aids and group hearing aids systems. We provide quality state-of-the-art infrastructure, teachers and equipments to help students get proper hearing, and understand the subject properly. We include other equipments as well to make hearing easy and simple for them.
Apart from helping them in academics, we also organize cultural programs etc, to help them learn about our culture and tradition. Recently, our students participated in the cultural program and various competitions conducted by NTPC (National Thermal Power Corporation) and participation certificates. It helps students boost confidence and also improve social skills.
We have a well-furnished building where all classes from pre-primary to 10+2 classes are located. Light, airy, the building has specifically designed to be a state of the art learning environment that meets the requirements of deaf children. The layout of the classroom is setting up display areas that celebrate the work of our children.
We offer vocational training and have team of occupational therapist to help child communicate. We provide regular opportunities for children to develop their communication skills through language programs by special teachers and speech and language therapists. Our specialists develop communication and language through play, and focus on specific aspects of communication.

Finding out your child has a learning disability is certainly disturbing, but the best thing you can do as a parent is simply to love and support your child. The need of every special child is unique and hence the treatment. These treatments are not done by any individual doctor or direct medicine. Its a team work. A sample team may have, A Speech Therapist, a Special Educator, a Psychologist, an Audiologist, a Physiotherapist, a Social Worker, a General Physician, Prosthetic / Orthotic Engineers & a Nurse.
Upon early consultation we’ll come to know about estimation. However we are almost free for people from economically weaker section.

His generous contribution to assist the unprivileged along with the society, Dr. Rao and his works has achieved accolades from different organizations like FICCI, FIAMS, IMA, and B.J. Modi Foundation etc. Apart from being honoured by these highly prestigious organizations, Dr. Rao also received awards like Gem of India (1993), Bharat Jyoti (1994), Man of Asia (1996), Best Citizen of India (1999) and many more.
